FSU Joins 27 Organizations in Supporting Education Research
The Friends of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), which includes FSU, joined a letter to House and Senate appropriators highlighting the continued need to invest in the important education research, statistical programs, and evidence-based resources through the FY 2020 appropriations process. The 28 organizations seek to increase funding for IES to $650 million (+5.7%), as called for by the House. The IES increased would likely result in additional funding for their Regional Educational Laboratory Program, such as the REL Southeast that is administered by FSU.
